Zululand Businesswoman Fanele Mhlongo – Lessons learnt in 2007
Fanele initiated Medivalue Pharmacy as a local Zululand business and took cognizance of the tough competition she would have to face from well-established local pharmacies. Undaunted and in true Zululand style, Fanele embarked on the process of establishing a client base and growing her business.
Cash flow is always a concern for a business but more so for a young growing business wanting to establish a presence. In 2007 she planned to always spend wisely and prioritise her expenses. This process highlighted valuable lessons for the future. As an avid supporter of the community Fanele launched a Christmas Toy Drive initiative in December. The gifts were then distributed by the local Rotary Club to the less fortunate.
